Erik Faulhaber is a German designer specialising in type design, working independently since 1996.

Graphic design studies at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, graduating with honours, with teaching by Kurt Weidemann. Type design training at Linotype under Reinhard Haus, with mentorship by Adrian Frutiger, including collaboration with Hans Eduard Meier.

Typefaces include Generis (2006), Aeonis (2009), Xenois (2013), Quantis (2016) and Tensis (2021). Contributions to projects such as BMW Helvetica, Compatil, Frutiger Next, Heidelberg Gothic, IBM Helvetica, Microsoft Frutiger, Milano, Pinakothek Frutiger and Vialog.

Teaching at Bauhaus-University Weimar, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Folkwang University Campus Wuppertal and Hochschule Mannheim.
